About Me

Professionally, I have been working in the mental health field for 8 years, helping children, teens, and adults navigate various life transitions, process trauma to find post-traumatic growth, work through relationship difficulties, develop a strong identity, and many other mental health concerns. I have attended and presented at national, regional, and state conferences and continue my education with advanced trainings throughout the year.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor (LPC-S) and Certified School Counselor in the state of Oklahoma and a Nationally Certified Counselor. I earned my doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Arkansas in 2020 and my Masters of Education in School Counseling from Northeastern State University in 2013.

I am honored and humbled you found your way to my site. If you think I might be a good fit, I would love to meet you and hear how I can help.

My Practice

My practice is named Balanced Choice Counseling to reflect both my theoretical approach, Choice Theory, and what I believe about the change process. I believe that all our behavior is an attempt to find balance in our five basic needs (love and belonging, survival, power, freedom, and fun). What brings you here is likely a feeling of imbalance in one or more areas of your life. While I draw on many theoretical techniques, including Sand Tray, my goal is to help you find balance and equip yourself with tools to better navigate current and future challenges and imbalances you may face in the future.

As you continue year search, remember that you are enough. I would be honored to walk alongside you.
